We’re getting so close to Christmas and unfortunately I’ve run out of time to have my Christmas project finished even though I’ve made a lot of progress.
Here is where I was up to last time I showed you my cross stitch
This time around I’ve managed to finish all the baubles, strings AND the snowflake border. You can even see the start of the bells….
This is the very top of the project so those bells are all I have left to do! I’ll have to get the white thread back out to do some of the bells as I decided on one white and one gold on each side of jingle bells. That will be the last of the stitching but I probably won’t be able to get it all done in time. And even if I did there’s no way I’ll be able to finish it up before christmas. Oh well. There’s always next year.
I’m really in love with it so far though. It’s turning out better than I hoped when I designed it. So I’m just looking forward to seeing what it’s like when it’s done.

It really is gorgeous. And the great thing about Christmas is, it comes around every year, like clockwork, so what isn’t done this year will be just as lovely next.

I join Kate to say, don’t worry if it’s not finished for this xmas . . . since you’ll be able to enjoy it for many xmases to come.

Hopefully it’ll look nice enough when it’s finished that I want to enjoy it for more Xmases to come lol

Just get it done for New Year instead if you can, unless you like to take down your decorations early.

I don’t think that’s going to happen. I’ve completely lost my mojo now I know it won’t be done for Christmas. I have refocused on other Christmassy things!

Thank you so much. Bells aren’t that Christmassy either so I’m good to keep stitching this one after Christmas

I agree that Christmas is coming way too fast. I’m just not ready!! Your piece is looking so beautiful. So sorry you won’t be able to finish it for this Christmas. Now you will have more time to get it stitched and finished the way you want it without having to rush. I look forward to seeing it finished when you can get to it.

Yes. I’ll get to enjoy stitching the last part rather than rushing it. That is a bonus.

This must be a bigger piece than I originally thought. Too bad you don’t expect it to be done for this season, but as you say, there’s always next year!
