This is the final post in my planned book series lists. I’ve done book series I loved but DNF’d, book series I’ve started and will keep reading, book series where I’m waiting for the next book to be released, and book series where I’ve bought the first book but not read it yet (there were a lot of those!). But time for books I wasn’t to read in the future.
That means series where I haven’t read or bought any books in the series and at least the first book has already been published (and the second book has at least been announced). That might seem like a lot of rules but I still have plenty of series to add to this list!
Looking back through my goodreads want-to-read shelf to compile this list has made me remember some amazing books I added ages ago but now really want to read all over again (thanks past me). So this list got a bit longer than planned! I haven’t added every series that I have interest in reading just the ones I really want to read the most otherwise we’d be here till Christmas.

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee – I’d have given up on this one apart from the fact the sequel is extremely interesting to me. If anyone reads the sequel and can tell me if the first book is necessary to read first that would be awesome.
Leviathan Wakes (The Expanse) by James SA Corey – this has been on my list for years but I never read it and now its a tv show and…. I might just watch it to be honest.
Every book on this list is SFF of some kind and I’m not sure if that’s my tastes or there just aren’t that many contemporary series? I do read contemporary books just not as many as scifi and fantasy. I can only name a couple that come to mind, so if you have any contemporary series recs hit me up (I need action/thrills/higher stakes than falling in love in my contemp, think one of us is lying or beartown).
