Cross Stitch Progress (SAL)

I finally managed to unpick all of the backstitching on my Peter pan quote and can show you a proper picture of the finish. Here it is framed and hooped.

I’m pretty proud of the fact I designed that and as always for any patterns I make it’s available in my etsy shop as a PDF pattern download.

I haven’t managed to get that much stitching done on my Gryffindor pin cushion as most of my time was spent with the unpicking but there is a little progress to show you all.

I’ve managed to finish the red part of the banners and am chasing it around with the yellow, I’ll either move onto backstitching the border (oh joy) or stitching the centre pattern next.

This post is part of a stitchalong where we post whatever progress we’ve made on our stitchy projects every third Sunday. Here are the links to everyone else taking part:

  1. Good call, pulling the back stitching, it is a wonderful piece. The colors are on the vibrant side of realistic, which would be difficult to achieve! The Gryffindors will be happy to have their pin cushion, you’ve required them to be patient.😊

  2. Congrats on the finish! You are very creative to create your own patterns. It looks really good! Looking forward to seeing your pin cushion progress. Will this be what you continue for the SAL or a new project?

    1. I’ll be doing an update on it yes. I might even be able to finish it by then (that’s probably too ambitious) but I do have a Christmas cross stitch that I need to start as well so that might appear too.

  3. It was worth the time it took to remove the back stitches. The Cleverness of You really shines now. 🙂
    Hurray for the Gryffindor pincushion!

  4. Congratulations on your Peter Pan saying completion. It looks nice but it was such a shame you had to do all the unpicking. I wonder what your next Sal piece is going to be. I will look forward to finding out.
