Sal Update

I’ve gotten quite a lot of cross stitching done these last three weeks and its time to share my progress with you as part of our SAL. The stitch a long is a group who posts their progress every third Sunday. We all do our own projects so its really fun to see what each other do and help motivate is to keep going. We’re always happy to have new members.

But back to my cross stitch.

Last time I said I wanted to get my blue-ish oak leaves done which I managed but I also managed to move on to the top part and get some of that done.

Here it is then and now:

And also a close up of the oak leaf.

The inner blue was suppose to be a dark shade but its actually really bold and bright so I might change that for a darker one (who am I kidding? I’ll probably just change it on the pattern rather than actually re stitch it!).

I really think I might be able to finish this for next time. There are a lot of colour changes on the top part because they’re all small leaves and I need to find one colour that seems to have gone missing from my stash but if all goes to plan I might show you a finish next time. I doubt I’ll have time to wash/press and frame it though.

I’ve been busy designing a Christmas cross stitch for my next project. It’s not finished yet but it might be by the time I move on from this. It’s a little big right now. It’s going to be a wall hanging and right now its over half a metre long. Eeek! I keep running out of space and adding a few more inches. I’m trying to peg myself back but its still going to be BIG!

Here are all the others currently taking part in the Sal.

Avis / Claire / Gun / Carole / Kate / Lucyanne / Sue / Constanze / Debbie / Christina / Kathy / Margaret / Cindy / Helen / Steph / Linda / Catherine / Wendy / Mary Margaret and Timothy

I’m looking forward to seeing all the progress.

    1. Persistent maybe more than clever but thank you. Hopefully the Christmas design doesn’t end up as tall as me otherwise it’ll take years to stitch!
